Coupling for noise reduction introduced

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Geislinger’s new Silenco acoustic coupling is designed to minimise the transfer of the structure-borne sound.
The reduction of engine noise is one of the main issues that modern passenger ships and other applications are struggling to combat.
Silenco consists of maintenance-free composite membranes with increased damping properties, composite shafts, flanges and steel spacers for length adjustments to adapt to the installation solution.8
Different versions of the components are available depending on the acoustical needs and torque of
the system.
The flanges are specially developed for the Silenco, they are made from a combination of composite material, rubber and steel.
No special tools are required for its assembly, its easy installation is complimented by its low reaction force and lightweight structural design.
It has a torque range of up to 186kNm, with an ambient temperature range of -45oC to 100oC and angular misalignments up to 5o.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
