An interim evaluation of route planner, Navigate, just a week after its launch shows that initial reactions are positive and that Navigate is already in use in 70 countries across the world. We are currently working on the planned follow-up. The beta version of Navigate was launched at Transport Logistic in Munich on 10
May 2017. Navigate incorporates the deep sea and short sea schedules of 550 ports across the world as well as the rail and barge connections between Rotterdam and over 150 European inland terminals. Navigate also contains a business directory with over 1,500 companies that are active in and around the Port of Rotterdam, as well as an empty depot tool. Our next step is to provide transparency regarding the CO2 footprint of container transport. Real-time data regarding the Estimated Time of Arrival and Departure (ETA and ETD) of sea-going vessels will also be available soon. We aim to keep adding more and more operational data. We have created this beta version so that we can learn how and where we can make improvements. We would be delighted if you could give us your feedback.
